well done. it didn’t even sound like billie jean until i heard the hook—i love it. i don’t want an artist to try to mock the original, because c’mon, whose doing billie jean better than mike? but aloe blacc reinvented the song’s swag and made a good move collaborating with the grand scheme. beautiful instrumentation, such a soulful take on a pop king’s legend.
