who knew the girl i loved to hate, fuck it—i loved to love her even though she tore joseph gordon-levitt’s heart out in 500 days of summer—zooey deschanel, has an awesome band. it would seem most artists have more than one medium to spread their creativity on. she & him are zooey and guitarist/produce m. ward, an indie folk band who first met on the set of film, the go-getter.

she & him have two albums, volume one and volume two—the latter just released this year. this cover of screamin’ jay hawkins’ i put a spell on you is incredible. dark and haunting like the originial and with just enough creative license. well done, zooey. well done. you my bitch.
